I'm a student and I love Japanese songs. Every time I listen to my favorites, I want to sing them myself, but I could never hit the notes — and when I pushed harder, my voice just cracked. I lived like that until I found Mone Music on YouTube. Seeing people sing the Japanese songs I love so well, I felt jealous and thought "I want to do that too." When the online course came out, I kept wondering — can I really change just from an online course? But I figured I'd live my whole life unable to sing anyway, so why not try. I've only been practicing a short time, but I genuinely didn't know I could change this much — me, who couldn't even produce a proper sound. Listening to the lessons and practicing, imagining who I'll be tomorrow, next week, a few months from now... just thinking about it makes me happy. I'm truly glad I found Mone Music.

Since middle school, I'd watch friends who sang well and always wonder "how do they do that?" Part of me wanted to sing freely like them. I felt sure Mone Music could help. How I got here: One Piece Film Red, then Ado, then Show, then utaite covers, then Vaundy... I'm only 10% through, but the curriculum was worth every penny — this felt like a chance that wouldn't come again. I don't usually write reviews — ever. This is the first time I've felt compelled to write one with this much care. Don't be afraid. Take the step. I'm convinced this place can make everyone an utaite.

I'd even visited the academy for an in-person consultation... but my schedule and the distance made it impossible to register. When I heard about the online course, I paid immediately. The content is completely different from other lessons. The teachers are incredibly skilled and demonstrate with their own voice, which helped so much. The explanations are easy to understand. Almost no other place actually specializes in J-pop — the ones that claim to just talk without the skill to back it up. There are quite a few of those. If you keep listening and following along, I think you'll be able to sing the way you want. The lessons are short and digestible. The quizzes for review are great too. The bonus services are an enormous advantage. (Honestly, that's what made me buy.) I especially recommend this for anyone who couldn't attend offline classes!

I already recommended this to my friend. Saving up the money now. Before Mone Music, I took vocal lessons for quite a while, but I never learned how to use my breath properly — I just gave up. From the very first Mone Music lesson, I understood what breath is supposed to do for singing. I really wanted to learn rock vocals but there was no academy for that. I'm so glad Mone Music showed up in my algorithm. Still taking the course and loving every minute.

I hesitated so much before signing up. "Can I even sing again?", "I don't like my own voice", "Isn't this a waste of time and money?" My head was a complete mess. But after taking the course, Mone Music is genuinely to the point, and I could quickly understand where to go. My satisfaction is extremely high. My voice comes out more comfortably than before, and the habit of squeezing my throat has mostly disappeared. My breathing got so much easier too. Even if you're not dreaming of becoming an outstanding utaite or singer — even if you just quietly wish "I want to sing better" or "I want to improve" — come and try.

I'm 35. I'll be a year older soon... At first I signed up on pure impulse. But when I showed up, most students were young — students in their 20s, beginners. At first I wondered if I started too late, and I felt intimidated around the younger students. But then one day I realized I'm truly glad I started now. The teachers are so passionate and kind, I could keep up with the classes with hard work. Age, gender, background — none of it matters here. If you're hesitating for any reason, register now and start. The earliest time in the rest of your life is right now.

From here, wrong practice
breaks your voice.

You push into the 3rd octave alone.
You copy what you hear in covers.
You try scratch without knowing the mechanics.

It sounds close — until your throat starts hurting.
And once the damage starts, it doesn't warn you. It builds.

The difference between an utaite and a damaged voice

is not talent. It's technique — taught in the right order,
with someone watching your progress.

That's what Vocalive is built for.

3 steps to sing

what machines were built for.

Step 1

Vocaloid songs live in the 3rd octave. Most singers visit. Utaite stay.

Other courses teach you to hit high notes.
We teach you to sing there.

gif: singing in the 3rd octave

In metal, singers touch the 3rd octave and come back down. In Vocaloid, that's where the verse starts. This course teaches you to sing there — not just survive there.

Step 2

The grit in Vocaloid isn't digital. It's scratch — and it's human.

Other courses teach scratch for rock and metal.
We teach it for Vocaloid.

gif: scratch demonstration

Scratching in the 3rd octave — while keeping the melody, while protecting your voice — is a different skill entirely. Our coaches demonstrate every technique with their own voice.

Step 3

Machines don't have personality. You do. Keep it.

The higher you go, the more everyone sounds the same.
We fix that.

gif: same song, different tone

Utaite don't just sing high. They sing high as themselves. Keeping your own tone at the top of your range is the final skill — and the one that makes you an utaite.
